A surprising number of Hyderabad businesses we work with either have no Google Business Profile at all, or one that was set up years ago and never touched since. Both are costing them visibility in local search results every single day.
Step 1: Claim or create your profile
Search your business name on Google Maps first — it may already exist unclaimed. If so, claim it through Google Business Profile Manager. If not, create a new one with your exact business name, category, and address.
Step 2: Get your category right
Choose the most specific category available rather than a broad one — "Dental Clinic" instead of just "Healthcare," for example. This single choice affects which searches you show up for more than almost anything else on the profile.
Step 3: Add real photos
Profiles with genuine photos of the actual location, team, and work get more clicks than those with a stock logo alone. A few honest photos taken on a phone outperform none at all.
Step 4: Fill in hours, phone number, and website — and keep them consistent
Your business name, address, and phone number should match exactly across your Google Business Profile, your website, and any directory listings. Mismatches confuse Google about which business is really yours and can quietly hurt your ranking.
Step 5: Ask for reviews, and reply to every one
A profile with recent, replied-to reviews signals an active, trustworthy business. Even a short, genuine reply to a review — good or critical — shows visitors someone is actually paying attention.
We set up and optimize Google Business Profiles as part of our local SEO work for every client. If you would like us to check your current profile and tell you honestly what is missing, message us on WhatsApp.
